I miss the Book Cellar.  When will you re-open?
We miss you too!  Unfortunately, the Book Cellar will remain closed for the foreseeable future.  We are trying to find ways to support the Mt. Lebanon Public Library with innovative ways to sell books, such as our popular drive-up Grab Bag sale, and with our new online store.
How do I pick up my books?

Please allow 2-4 business days for us to process your order.  Once you receive a confirmation email that your order is ready for pickup, please call the Mt Lebanon Public Library at (412) 531-1912 to schedule a contact-free pickup.  Your order will be placed on tables located in the upstairs library entrance and you will have a 45 minute pickup window, starting at the hour of your appointment.  Find the bag with your last name on it and grab your bag and go.  Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Can you ship my order to me?
Alas, we are currently only operating as a pick-up business. 
I need my order in 3 hours.  Can it be ready that fast?
We are a small, but mighty group of volunteers.  No one is getting paid to do this job...we do it for the love of the library.  That being said, we typically won't be able to fulfill an order that fast.  Please allow 2-4 business days for us to process your order for pick-up. 
Why do your prices seem higher than in the store?
Online commerce comes with a price, so we needed to raise prices slightly to ensure that our fundraising efforts were fruitful.  We hope that you will still find that we are one of the most affordable used book stores around.  All proceeds go to the Friends of the Mt. Lebanon Library to support library programming and services.
Will you be adding new items?
Absolutely!  Just like our regular store, we are adding new items every week.  The best way to look at any new items added to the online store is with the following steps:
  • From "Shop the Store", select "All Items"
  • Next, sort by "Date, New to Old"
  • All of the newest items will appear first.  Shop away!
Can I return an item that I purchased?
For the health and safety of our volunteers, we are not accepting returns at this time.  All sales will be final.  We take a lot of time trying to provide an accurate description of the item, and we hope you love your new books as much as we love your support of the library!
